Awareness on sex Education.

Awareness on sex Education reading and leaning can impact teens/young adults positively right? Probably yes!

My project is fiction but very educative and informative,  it will save a lot of teens and young adults from getting into trouble, for instance un-wanted pregnancy, drugs, alcohol and death due to abortion and child-birth. I live in Angola where majority of teens and young adult lack little or no knowledge about the consequence of non protective sex most of them get pregnant from age 13-14 and 15 years. This incident is a major problem teens adult go through around the world, many die in the process of child bearing, because some of them are too young to undergo labor pain.
Most of them tested HIV Positive without proper treatment, while STDs happen often
Many teens and young adults suffer because of lack of information and support from family and society or pressure to have sex just because some of their friends are doing it, some have multiple partners at the same time thinking is fun and normal.
The young adults and singles have little or no idea about birth-control pill, sadly including their parents/ guardians.
Virgin supermodel tried to save her teen sis, save yours if you can! is a must read for every young adults and parents with young children!
Available in amazon.com both paperback and kindle edition.

Life isn’t about how to survive the storm but how to dance in the storm!

It was a busy Monday morning, at about 7.30am, when an elderly gentleman in his 80’s arrived my business office to make a transfer from his account. He said he was in hurry as he had an appointment at 8.30am. I offered him a seat, knowing it would be almost an hour before his transaction could be finalized. I saw him looking at his watch and decided that since I was not busy with another customer, I would talk with him. While taking care of his transaction, I asked him if he had another bank’s transaction this morning, given his hurry. The gentleman told me no, that he needed to go to the nursing home to eat breakfast with his wife. I inquired as to her health. He told me that she had been there for a while! As she is a victim of Alzheimer’s disease (a serious illness that affects the speech and memory centre of the brain). As we talked, I asked if she would be upset if he was a bit late. He replied that she no longer knew who he was, that she had not recognized him in five years now. I was surprised and asked him, “and you still go every morning, even though she doesn’t know who you are?” He smiled as he patted my hand and said, ‘She doesn’t know me but I still know who she is.’ I had to hold back my tears as he left, I had goose bumps on my arm, I was speechless as I couldn’t even mutter the service culture slogan “thank you, have a nice day”. Then I thought, ‘That is the kind of love we all must possess. True love is neither physical nor just romantic’. True love is the acceptance of all that has been, will be and will not be. Peace is seeing a sunset and knowing who to thank. The happiest people don’t necessarily have the best of everything: they just make the best of everything they have. Life isn’t about how to survive the storm but how to dance in the storm

TOGETHER WE WILL TRY & MAKE IT THROUGH.

“In times of grief and sorrow I will hold you and rock you and take your grief and make it my own. When you cry I cry and when you hurt I hurt. And together we will try to hold back the floods to tears and despair and make it through the potholed street of life”
 Nicholas Sparks.

My name is MD 83
I was manufactured in 1990
Acquired by Alaska airline

For 12 years
I served my masters
With might and strength
And made them smile
To the banks

Until November 4, 2002
When I developed engine faults
And had to make emergency diversion
due to smoke in my cabin
Passengers disembarked alive.

On August 20, 2006
I was again evacuated after landing at the Long Beach, CA
Again,
due to smoke in my cabin
Passengers disembarked alive

Concerned about my air worthiness
Alaska Airline parked me
Until Sept. 11, 2008 for repairs
And shifted my burdens to Dana Air, Nigeria
On February, 2009

On arrival
On the tropical shores of Africa
I hid not my state of health

On May 3, 2012
A Lagos station manager
Said I should be grounded for a check-up
That alarm was ignored

On May 11, 2012
I made an air return and emergency landing at MM2
Passengers disembarked alive

On May 25, 2012
Again, I made an air return and emergency landing due to engine failure
Passengers disembarked alive

And finally on June 3, 2012
I crashed in Iju, 5-6 nautical miles from touch down, killing all 153 passengers on board and 67 on ground

After 22 years
Of meritorious service
I wished my masters listened
And let me rest

Now I put tears
In the eyes of a nation

But come to think of it,
If Alaska Air
Considered me unfit
To fly Americans
Why should Dana Air
Consider me worthy
To fly Nigerians?

May God accept their souls Amen.

We are dying from grief ,our years are shortened by sadness,we are ignored as if we were dead, as were broken pot.I have heard the many rumors about us and we`re surrounded by terror, our enemies conspire against us plotting to take our life.Your favour,O Lord made us as secure as mountain, then you turned away from us and we was shattered.

Dana airline crash scene.

We are trusting on you, O Lord, saying "You are our God" our future is in You`re hands rescue us from those who hunt us down relentlessly, carelesslly and mis-management.
Let your favor shine on your servant, your unfailing love, rescue us. Don`t let us be disgraced, O Lord for we call out to You for help, let the wicked be disgraced, let them lie silent in the grave.
Silence their lying lips, those proud and arrogant lips that accuse the godly .
How great is the goodness You have stored up for those who fear you, you lavish it on those who come to you for protection, blessing them before the watching world.
You hide them in the shelter of your presence safe from those who conspire against them.
Praise God for He has shown us the wonders of His unfailing love, He kept us save when our city was under attack, in panic we cried out, "we`re cut off from the Lord" You  heard our cry for mercy and answer our call for help. Let your word in psalm 30:5 come to manifestation in our lives, weeping may endure for a night but joy come in the morning  I pray In the mighty name of Jesus Amen.

Let Your living water flow over my soul,
Let your Holy Spirit come and take control,
Of every situation that has troubled my mind,
All my cares and burdens on to you I roll.

Come now Holy Spirit and take control,
Hold me in your loving arms and make me whole,
Wipe away all doubt and fear and take my pride,
Draw me to your love and keep me by your side
Amen.

WONET WORKSHOP 2012

Last weekend  Africa/ Europe women met together with AICC Angola international christian church women for splendid training/ workshop featuring Action Natural Medicine ,ANAMED, led by Marianne Holzman, a missionary in Bie province.

She opened the session with well-known story of the Good Samaritan who helped the  robbery victim who had been left by the side of the road to die.

While others passed him by, the Good Samaritan administered first aid by cleasing his wounds with wine and then oil as a disinfectant. Grapes and oil-producing olives were readily available in Isreal.

This Bible story set the tone of the WONET session, namely to use natural healing agents that we have~ in our backyard~ We learned about the healing properties of the moringa tree which grows in Angola. Its leaves contain 7 times the Vitamin C of Orange 4 times the calcium of milk, 3 times the the potassium of bananas, 2 times the protein of yogurt, 4 times the Vitamin A of carrots and almost as much iron as spinach.

Here are pictures of common foods, fruits, and vegetables such as onions, galic, & papaya*pawpaw* and much more.

NOSTALGIA FEELING.

Do you sometimes get the strange nostalgia feeling?

Every people do especially if you found your self living in number one most expensive city in the world 2011. Luanda Angola.
I`m actually refering to financial aspect and cost of living.

this city will definately take you down to memory lane, you might found your self craving missing something depending your area of interest, maybe you found yourself living here because of work, family or tourism!
okay fine but you need to be aware of this important fact about luanda coming from someone like me who has been here for a decade now.

Some people just tend to focus more on the past, but anyone can get caught up in it. The thing is, trying actively to stop thinking about something never really works! When you catch yourself going down memory lane, stop to acknowledge your thoughts on it try your best to be positive strive to survive where ever you are.
There are many other expensive cities like  japan, moscow, singapore, switzerland, sydney, paris and many more.

but among all luanda rank no1. in 2011

Ang pic

It`s decimated, extreme and ridiculous.

A house can be $10,000 (£6,500) a month to rent, a basic meal out for two is easily $50, a hotel room can weigh in at $400 a night and a kilo of imported tomatoes a staggering $16.
A basic saloon car without a driver (which foreigners need to negotiate the difficult traffic and parking) will be $90 a day, but upgrade to a SUV (recommended due to the poor quality roads) and you're looking at $200

The post-war flood of expatriates into Luanda, many working in the booming construction and oil sectors, has Esteves believes, definitely inflated prices.
"I would say the fact you have oil and other big multinational companies looking for so much accommodation has pushed up the costs because they will tend to just pay what they are asked for," he said.

But while Fernando Azvedo agrees the multinationals may have increased houses prices, he says at the same time it should be remembered that it was Angolan landlords who have been cashing in on the opportunity.
He added that while expats did sometimes splash out on restaurant meals or high-cost imported items in the supermarkets, he felt wealthy Angolans were the really big spenders.
"I think it is expatriates who are the ones who worry more about the cost and look more for a reasonable price for something," he said.

So why is a city like Luanda so expensive?

There are several reasons. The main one is that Angola lived through a long civil war which started in 1975, when the country gained independence from Portugal, and continued right up until 2002.
Infrastructure is in poor shape after more than 20 years of civil war
During that time most industry, agriculture and local production stopped and basic infrastructure including roads, railways, electricity lines and water supplies were badly damaged.
Having once been a major exporter of products like coffee and cotton, and self-sufficient in most foods, Angola now imports an estimated 80% of its consumable goods.
For every tin or packet of food you buy in Luanda, you must factor in the cost involved in getting that product to Angola and onto the supermarket shelf, via a congested port with its highly bureaucratic customs and a traffic-clogged city.
There are some cynics who say Angola's business elite, who control the import companies, have also done little to bring down costs, although in recent years bringing down prices has been cited as a government priority.
Jose Severino, president of Angola's Industrial Association (AIA), says it is a vicious cycle: "You have unreliable electricity so you need a generator, poor transport networks and weak human capacity and that pushes up the cost of local production which means it is still cheaper to import goods instead of making them here.
"As long as this continues, and as long as local taxes are so high and red tape so complicated here there will be no incentive to produce locally and prices will not come down."
Jose Severino, who is also a government advisor, said there needed to be decentralisation away from Luanda, or at least a proper public transport network in order to reduce traffic congestion which he said cost people money, not just in time but also fatigue, productivity, and vehicle maintenance.

I` don`t mean i dislike where i am at the moment or not happy sometimes you can`t ascape that strange feeling of nostalgia, really it`s inevitable.

It`s overwhelming how we react to nostalgia feelings, never allow it take better aspect of me, so my tips to you my lovely readers wherever you are, count yourself blessed cherish every moment and miletones of your life be positve., don`t forget to prepare fully well when  visiting most expensive cities in the world like luanda and rest of them, the annoying thing is when you get less than you pay ,yes you might not even get what you bargain for really crazy.
typical  survival of the fittest and grace of God.

Cheers.

CALL ME ANGEL.

I have many names
Some call me mistakes what choice do i have?
Some call me bad luck what choice do i have?
Some call me unwanted what choice do i have?
What is my fault?

You chose this part blame no one but yourself
Why do I have to pay the ultimate price?
This shouldn`t have happened had you been
More careful  You should have taking precaution
protection or something.

You`ve made your choice, you might be feeling guilty
Please don`t be hard on yourself no one is above
sin for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God except me
the question remains for how long are you
Going to continue in sin for the grace to abide?

Heavenly angels are taken care of me
Though sometimes I felt that I am too
Tiny to survive in this place I would have
Love you`re tender loving care, but God
And his angels are taking care of me.

I`m the cutest thing they have ever seen

Innocent and blemish, yes without sin
My name is no more mistakes or
Unwanted pregnancy what an ugly name
call me
** ANGEL.**

REVIEWS - hear what people have to say about this book
These are stories about us or about our neighbours or something we’ve encountered in the news. They are what our friends tell us, their pain and joy, their passion and rage, their yearning and their cry against injustice. I enjoyed lots of the stories not just because of their simplicity and brevity but also for freshness they bring to storytelling and public discourse. – Sylva Nze Ifedigbo. (Author, The Funeral Did Not End)
Here we are, with our abortions, our bereavement, our lust, our petty showdowns, our pederasts, our In-Law wahala, our problems chatting up girls in the diaspora, our memories of childhood, our fights, our incest, our love, our examination stress, our metafictional accounts, our encounters with university campus cults, our broken families, our… well, you get the idea. We rob banks, but we also eat salty beans to show our children we love them. – Tade Thompson (Writer/Editor)
These short stories are not constrained by the need to attain fame. They all are, first of all, good works written with sharp perspectives that are related to various societal issues. There is a unique allure in every story. They have not been sifted through a Western colander. Support this anthology and show that there is a worthiness of effort in putting it together. This anthology is indeed the birth of writers that have newly been empowered. Go get a copy for yourself. –

GENDER WAHALA

GgENDERgg
A child are regarded to be a blessing regardless of the gender, however some parents
had taking prefering one gender  of a child over another to extreme, due to traditional, customs, family belief & personal choice, the urgent need for one gender over another, while for some it`s just for the fun of having one of each or the joy of knowing/experiencing what it`s feels like to raise boy/girl, well i have nothing against parent`s desiring one particular gender,
but my point is knowing when to draw a line between going too far, some had gone way out of control the article i read about indian parents unable to accept their child because they got a girl might be just misunderstanding between them and the hospital, but the incidents kept me thinking even though this might be mistake, the fact still remain that some parents prefer one child over another.
Sadly this issue had gone out of control to extend many had  abandoned their child in the hospital for the mare reason of inability to have what they wanted, some spouse has accused their spouse for being responsible for their inability to have a particular gender, some has gone as far as getting marry to 2nd wife just to fulfil their selfish desire to have a heir.
A baby girl life is at stake simply because her parents prefer a boy.

http://www.circleofmoms.com/article/newborn-girl-s-parents-refuse-claim-her-preferring-boy-03443?trk=fbfp#_

This is heart-breaking and sad.

Let us cherish whatever we are blessed with boy/girl ,and count our self lucky blessed because many people are praying just to be parents children are blessing from God.
